Um Damn."When you sing, it's the most soothing thing in the whole world… But Nana would be more mad at me for falling asleep listening to your lullaby than for falling asleep in your arms." - Ren

This volume and the last one (19) were very very melodramatic, especially with the Ren, Takumi, Reira triangle (more like an octagon). Lots of crying and screaming at each other.I think Yasu appeals to me the most because he's the only practical and level headed one. The rest of them I can't understand why they have to make everything so complicated.Don't get me wrong, I love this series, but sometimes the characters drive me crazy.

  • Nidah (SleepDreamWrite)

    Good volume.

  • Rummanah (Books in the Spotlight)

Though volume 20 might be one of the shortest volumes of Nana, but it packed a powerful punch that left me reeling and in tears. It's hard to believe that the story of two girls with the same name has taken place for a year. Do you know the saying, "When it rains, it pours?" Yeah, well it's pouring buckets and buckets in the world of Nana. Blast has had to break up and Nana O. begins to pick up the pieces and start her solo career. This time Trapnest is imploding from within: Takumi crosses the [...]

This volume was just a tad bit extra if you ask me. okay, okay it is a sad occasion when you loose someone so dear to you. But this volume just over exaggerated the crying. It wasn't unexpected that he was going to die. The way that the characters act is like they believed he was just totally fine ( I do realise that some didn't know about his "bad habit" but still!) The way he spoke and acted as well was almost always suspicious and had some kind of hidden meaning. (I feel like I'm not making s [...]

WARNING: No spoilers, but some foreshadowing (and talk of foreshadowing).Oh no. I never really thought that this was a series that would be classified as a tear jerker, but this volume had me in tears. Yes, in tears.I never really knew how connected I was to the characters until this happened. There was some foreshadowing that made me think that something like that would happen, but I didn't think so. It happened. Also, I read this while I was in class. I tried my best to keep my tears in but I w [...]

Rating: 500000 stars!!!Read all that's available, but chose this volume because it is the one I own. This will always be my favorite series and I firmly believe I will never find a better manga than this one. It made me laugh, it made me cry and it made me appreciate every single character for what it has to offer. Yazawa made them very relatable and human. All I can hope for now is that she will finish this manga someday *sobs*

This book shredded my heart into pieces. I spent the whole time crying my eyes out and I wanted to curl up in a dark hole to wallow in my sorrow. I feel like Nana and Fruits Basket has left a permanent imprint on my soul. Nana lost so much time for happiness with Ren because of her pride and that is guilt that she will live with. Ugh! I am almost getting misty eyed writing this!

This was a fabulous manga series. The characters were really in-depth and the plot was superbly entertaining. I love the two Nana's and how their stories intermix.

  • Jenten0018

wow this was pretty heavy stuff. I feel like Ren and Nana just needed to sort out whatever it is they needed to sort out, but now I guess it's too late. Reira is such a spoiled brat.
